Picking a good domain name is one of the most important things when launching your e-commerce site. Unfortunately though at this point most of the premium domain names are owned by someone else. However, in many cases it is possible to buy the domain name you desire from the current owner of it. For this infographic we looked at the the biggest e-commerce domain name sales of 2016. For a domain name to be listed on this list the domain name (or the domain name it forwarded to) had to have an obvious e-commerce angle or to forward to a site that sold physical products online. It is interesting to note that most of the domain names on this list currently forward to another domain. That might be a sign of the fact that the owners of the domain name want to create a stunning website before putting the recently bought premium domain name into more active use.
