Shopify announced today that they are extending their free trial from the previous 14 day to 90 days (more information) and at the same time they are also adding gift card support to all of their plans. Previously the gift card support was available only for the plans that cost normally at least $79/month.
With lot of big and small business alike around the world feeling under pressure and seeing their revenue fall extremely rapidly, it is nice to see Shopify making changes that will help many current and new online businesses.
At this point Shopify does not appear to have communicated if the improvements announced today will be permanent or how long they will stay in place.
